The Environment Agency's Arundel Tidal Defence Scheme has strengthened flood defences on both banks of the river at River Road, Tarrant Wharf and Fitzalan Road, and the Agency forecasts river levels up to three days ahead because sea level, not rainfall, is normally the dominant factor at Arundel.
